Review

This is a good RPG. Obviously it has one of the best soundtracks of all time, which does a lot for its enduring popularity. It also looks great, artistically and technically. I think the combat is a little lackluster. The battles drag on longer than I'd like, and I don't think the vaunted combo system is all that clever. At least some battles are avoidable, but I wish more were. It'd probably be more fun to low-level it. The game also has a bit of the minigame virus that was starting to infect Final Fantasy around this time. Had a good time overall though. Three heart game, plus one for the soundtrack.
