Review

This is a lovely little RPG Maker game that can be finished in about 3 hours. It feels like it was made especially for the author's friend group, so my opinion about the writing doesn't really matter, it's beautiful that this exists and I want more games like it to exist. On a personal level, I'll just say that some of the sexual themes present in this game aren't my cup of tea, but the content warning on the itch page was clear and there's nothing explicit, so I can't really complain. The game hints at a lot of character development and worldbuilding the audience isn't privy to. It feels like the player is dropped media res into a shared world built from scratch by a group of friends contributing details and ideas, and at times the dialogue feels like an extended in-joke I'm not equipped to understand. It's interesting, it makes the world feel alive and makes you wonder how it all came about, but it can make it a bit hard to get invested.

Mechanically, the game is solid. It has a nice difficulty curve and you're given new items and abilities to incorporate into your strategy at a very satisfying pace. There are some very powerful items you'd never be given in a huge 100-hour RPG because they'd be game-breaking, but in a 3-hour game, it's okay to let the player have fun and break the game a little bit. I had a really nice time.
