Review

Doom is a superb first-person maze exploration game. It's about running through strange alien labyrinths at 90mph, finding colored keys to open the matching colored door, and mashing your face against walls looking for secrets. There are also demons there. You should probably kill them, because they're demons from literal Christian Hell. I'm not a particularly religious person, but Doom is a game that makes me want to roleplay as one, it's that good. This is still the best first-person shooter. It's also fun to mod, and there's an infinite number of mods that exist and are still being made, so you'll never run out of Doom. Special shoutout to GZDoom, a source port that keeps the engine fresh, modern and highly customizable without sacrificing the essential Doomness.
