Review

A roguelike with all the rough edges sanded off. This is my favorite roguelike and one of my favorite games. It distills the genre down to the most enjoyable elements—dungeon exploration, monster strategy, item discovery and resource management. I understand why it wouldn't be for everyone: it's too messy for casual players and not messy enough for the average roguelike enjoyer, but for me, it falls right in the sweet spot. This is a game that, after muting the mind-numbingly repetitive music, I can go back to again and again.
