This was the second Final Fantasy game released in the US. Subsequent ports and remakes use the original Japanese numbering, Final Fantasy 4, but this is the version I prefer. It's a great RPG with solid mechanics, fast active time battles, sufficiently interesting strategy, and basic but extremely efficient storytelling. Text appears several lines at a time rather than one character at a time, which is worth huge bonus points in my book.
