I couldn't tell you what possessed me to play this game to completion, it's not normally my kind of game at all. At the time, I had a job where I was sitting at a computer for my entire shift with a decent amount of downtime, and this was the right game for the right time. It would run on our generic office computers, I could play in a window, and it's fully turn-based so I could alt-tab out at any time. It's kind of hideous—that slime-green border is the UI for the entire game—but the UI is functional, it gives you a big world to explore, and there's a fascinating and inventive science fiction story to uncover. I'd like to try more Spiderweb Software games, but that job is long gone and I don't have much drive to play games at home with a mouse and keyboard. Maybe someday.
