Review

This is one of my favorite games. I took my name from the friendly round blue creature who helps you throughout your quest. This game combines a top-down scrolling shooter with Legend of Zelda-style action-adventure dungeon sequences. I'm not the biggest scrolling shooter fan, but in this game, the life increases and weapons you obtain in the adventure sequences carry over to the shoot-em-up sequences. This automatically makes it better than any other shoot-em-up on the platform, because you can take multiple hits and don't have to worry about losing your weapons when you die. It's not a perfect game; the environments are somewhat drab, the on-foot enemy design is uninteresting, and it can be frustrating at times if you try to take on an area before you're ready; but I feel that practice and persistence is rewarded with a unique and fulfilling experience.
