Here's my advice for getting the most out of The Legend of Zelda: 1. Download scans of the manual and map included with the game, and 2. make your own map. Much like computer RPGs of the time, the cartridge media can't hold enough data for all the information you need to play the game. Nintendo carefully crafted a manual and a starter map with just enough informatiom to get you started on your quest. Do yourself a favor, dont use a walkthrough, but download PDFs of the original documentation and finish the map of Hyrule yourself. Finishing TLoZ was one of the most satisfying action-adventure game experiences I've ever had.
