Review

I don't know why I bought this stupid game. Well, okay, I do: it's a long turn-based JRPG, it was on sale for 6 bucks, and I thought the idea of a world based on loosely anthropomorphic video game consoles was weird and interesting. I heard this game was bad, but I wanted to see what the deal was.

What I really don't know is why I finished this stupid game. I guess I just didn't have anything else going on at the time. I couldn't tell you a single thing about this game, except that (1) one of the characters uses a giant syringe as her weapon, which I thought was cool; and (2) the way the all-teenage-girl cast is portrayed is creepily hypersexualized and it made me quite uncomfortable. The mechanics and story are completely brain-dead. To crib the bottom line from my Steam review: "If you're completely miserable and there is no alcohol and no drugs available, there are worse ways you can numb your brain for $6. Hyperdimension Neptunia is better than huffing paint, but just barely."
