I was a big fan of Narbacular Drop, so when I learned they were expanding the idea into a bigger game I got excited. I was disappointed to learn that the theme was changing from fantasy to sci-fi, and they replaced the spellcasting with a gun. The object with which you create the portals could've been anything, this didn't need to be yet another gun game. Also, why such a generic title? They had the word "Narbacular" and I wish they kept using it. Quibbles aside, this game is quite good. Nice puzzles, although the antagonist's constant monotonous monologue gets a bit tedious. The humor is very 2000s, I'd describe the writing as "whedonesque", but there are a few good visual gags.
