I'll level with you: I see why even RPG likers would think this is a boring game. It's a very long turn-based dungeon crawl RPG where most of what you do is map out a maze and fight random battles. But, I dunno, there's something about it. The constant tension of pushing yourself just a little bit deeper, trying to map just a little bit more before you cast the spell that lets you escape and recover... I find it kind of thrilling. You're at constant risk of stumbling into a part of the dungeon where you encounter monsters that can overpower you. You have to know your limits and explore wisely. I dig it.
