Review

The original Sonic the Hedgehog games get a bad rap. They're good 2D sidescrolling platformers, and S&K is the best one. The levels are huge and fun to explore, and Knuckles' gliding and climbing abilities opens up much more of the world to explore and find secrets. The problem is, and I place the blame squarely on Sega of America's marketing, they're perceived as games you're supposed to speed through as fast as possible. There are sections where this is the case, but for the most part, you're supposed to play as carefully as you would any 2D platformer. They give you a 10-minute time limit for a reason! Anyway, this is the best Sonic game.
