InfoWelcome to my game collection! I'm somewhat of a minimalist, I don't like owning a lot of stuff, so this is a virtual museum of games I own digitally. In the retro game zeitgeist, I find there's a lot of emphasis on buying and collecting physical hardware, which I can't relate to. I have no qualms about playing games in emulation; on the contrary, I prefer how games look in crisp, pixel-perfect emulation compared to composite video and other analog display methods. It's also more convenient: I don't have to maintain a bunch of old electronics, and I don't need a CRT TV or expensive scan converter to make the games look presentable. I can use whatever controller I want, save my progress any time I want, and breathe new life into the games I love with romhacks. Emulation is superior to physical games in most ways, and I've been emulating games on my computer since the late 90s, so this experience is as "authentic" to my childhood as playing the original cartridges, in my opinion. The only thing I'm missing is a nice case to display my favorite games in, so I created this virtual display case. Each badge commemorates a game I like enough to have played to completion. Clicking a badge will take you to a page with information about the game, my basic stats, any extra bonus goals I've accomplished, a link to video of me playing the game (if applicable) and a mini-review. Games are rated on a scale from one heart ❤️🖤🖤🖤🖤 to five ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Ratings are totally subjective; think of it as a measure of how much I like a game on a scale of 1-5. This is a no-hate zone; games I don't like at all won't be featured here. I'll honestly assess the games and criticize them where it's warranted, but even if a game gets one heart, that still means I ❤️ it. FAQQ: Can you really call this a "collection"?A: Yes. Q: Do you have the legal right to play these games? A: Yes. Q: Can you tell me where to get ROMs? A: No. Q: I disagree with something you've written. A: OK.
